Newlywed Couple’s First Dance

Holding your husband or wife’s hand or waist as you glide and swing with the music on the dancefloor. All guests are watching both of you dancing but you feel as if the world is only revolving around you and your lifetime partner. Lovely concept right? I have a good feeling you’re excited about your future or upcoming wedding now.

A lot of people ask: why is the couple dance or “first dance” always present at wedding programs? Well, the first dance of a married couple has been part of the tradition even in the early days especially in modern European and American wedding receptions or post-wedding celebrations. It serves as a symbol of the couples’ unending love and the way of dancing, expression, and steps reveal the harmony between the bride and groom.

Usually, the type of dance that couples choose is Ballroom dance or just a simple slow dance. But here’s a secret, well not really much of a secret, but let’s just say, here’s the thing, the style of dance is a personal choice. You don’t need to worry about it as it doesn’t have to be choreographed. Although it is a plus factor to plan out your performance beforehand. So by the time you get called on stage, you don’t have to panic about what to do. Also to avoid stepping on your partner’s foot (kidding).

The only tip that I can give you right now is to enjoy and cherish the moment. You have no reason to stress out. Relax, look into your partner’s eyes and feel the music. Here are more romantic first dances of some of our clients:
