Rustic wedding at Immerse Yarra Valley
Georgina and Szymon had their rustic wedding at Immerse Yarra Valley on 18 February 2018. The picturesque Yarra Valley has lured many couples to get married at it’s stunning location, and with winery views and a beautiful vineyard chapel, it’s easy to see why:
Georgina and Szymon
Szymon Srokowski (31, Automobile Paint Protection Specialist) & Georgina Huan (30, Research Scientist) met online and had their first date at Ganache Chocolate at South Yarra and shortly, followed by a second date in the park and fell in love soon after.
On 4.9.2014 (Georgina’s 27th birthday) Szymon woke Georgina up with breakfast in bed and a surprise planned day out. Starting at Cloudehill Nursery and Garden in Olinda to enjoy lunch and a wander around in the sunshine, followed by a romantic candlelit dinner and surprise cottage stay at Gracehill.
Szymon presented the ring and nervously descended to one knee and asked if Georgina would marry him.
Georgina was then seven months pregnant with Elliott, responded “Maybe”, with tears of joy.
Here they are today happily married with their now 3-year-old cheeky little man.
Rustic Wedding planning tips from the bride
Georgina:
“Have a vision of what you want your wedding to be like. Start with a venue.
Do a lot of research when choosing the right vendors, ensuring that they share your best interests in creating your dream wedding and not your deep pockets.
Join a wedding planning group or forum to get great ideas and tips. Have a spreadsheet to keep track of your budget and spending.”
Friendly marriage celebrant Sally carefully briefed the couple before their wedding ceremony, making sure that they looked their best and were relaxed.

Remember to enjoy your wedding day
“Take a deep breath and remember to enjoy the wedding as the day goes by so quickly now that the planning has all come down to this! Make time for yourself to de-stress as wedding planning can be very overwhelming especially the week leading to the big day. Enlist help from your family and bridal party when needed, that’s what they are there for,” Georgina says.
Szymon and Georgina’s son Elliott happily decided to join his parents for a fun ‘first dance’..
..Elliott’s cousin also joined in and soon the First Dance had turned into a kids-only party on the dance floor:
” Black Avenue Productions were fantastic in capturing all our beautiful moments and stolen expressions so artistically and creatively, from our pre-wedding photoshoot to our wedding day. Lowina have been wonderful to communicate and plan the shoots with whilst Derek and Iris were so easygoing and captured all our photos so discreetly that we didn’t even notice they were there! The team patiently listened to our ideas and were more than accommodating towards all our requests. They also worked really well with all our vendors. They are nothing short of an amazing team to work with and we couldn’t have asked for a more excellent bunch of professionals to capture our special day. We have thoroughly enjoyed our wedding photography experiences with them and we now have wonderful memories that not only we can share with others but also forever treasure all thanks to these guys. We would definitely highly recommend Black Avenue Productions to everyone.”

She spoiled us too!
Georgina totally surprised me by giving us this gorgeous personalised candle set when we had our post wedding meeting, designing her wedding album together.
I mentioned that I love the PS3 cufflinks and the wooden lots earlier when I sent her the online gallery link, Georgina gave me them too!
